Wb15 The Family of Robert Titterington b. 1843
Researcher: William
Robert's father was Richard (b. 1809) - so called by Researchers William and Glenn. However, in her research, Bev calls him George Richard but it has not been possible so far to find any hard evidence that this was his official name.

When Robert of Inchloughlin, Moira signed the Covenant, his signature was immediately followed by:- Nathaniel Heslem, Wm John Helsem and Hy John Haslem (his mark) all of Lurganville. We know that Nathaniel was his brother-in-law. On the same page is James Titterington of Bottear, who in the 1911 census is aged 56 and spouse of Mary aged 50. This is very likely to be James, Robert's brother, who was married to Mary Walker.

There is debate as to which Richard b. 1790 or 1809 should be in this tree. According to Ros Davies, Richard T of Lurganville; a weaver & clerk at St James Church, then a farmer; married Mary Walsh of Hillsborough 21 Apr 1842. Mary Walsh died Sep 1886, a widow, and her will lists ten children, born between 1843 to 1866. Judging by birth years and figuring child bearing age of 20-45, Mary was likely born abt 1820 + or - a couple years. That would make Richard b1809 more more plausible and for this reason he features in the chart below.
William is descended from Robert Titterington b. 1843 child of Richard Titterington and Mary Walsh. Through DNA testing, it seems that his tree is linked with Lee’s tree Wb12 (i).
Wb16 The Family of Thomas Henry Titterington b. 1847
Researcher: Bev
This tree focuses on the family of Thomas Henry Titterington born in 1847. Bev tells us that her great grandfather, Thomas, met her great grandmother, Margaret Randolph in Ohio and the couple moved near to a town called Scranton in Osage County, Kansas. His bachelor brother, Samuel lived in Topeka, just over twenty miles away. Samuel went back to Ireland in the 1920s for a visit. Researcher William tells us that his father used to talk about Samuel coming to Cherry Valley Farm when his father was young. Samuel, their nephew, who married Abigail Haddock, farmed land around El Reno in Oklahoma.
Thomas and Margaret had four sons, and six daughters. Bev is descended from their daughter Lena. Bev recalls trips to El Reno in her childhood, when she visited her relatives. She says that her Great Grand Mother Margaret was such a sweet person that all of the daughters begged to keep her when she got older.
It is probable that Thomas and Margaret’s son John is buried in the Phillippines. Apparently, in 1898 around the time of the Spanish American War, John was smoking in the barn at his family's home and accidentally burned the barn down. So John ran away to his oldest sister Susan King who lived in El Reno. John was only 15 at the time and he begged his sister to sign for him so that he could join the army. She did sign and regretted it all of the rest of her life. John fought in Cuba and then the war continued to the Philippines, known as the War of the Philippine Insurrection where he was killed. Bev does not know whether John went to War by the name of John Titterington or John King (using his sister’s married name). There is a cemetery in the Philippines where there is a John King buried.
Nicholas aged 12, had an accident at school playing Blind Man’s Bluff and died 10 days later.
Their son Thomas moved to Oklahoma and became a Farmer.
Their daughter, Mary Susan married Namen King in 1889. Rose Dell lived in El Reno and was married to William Eahrhardt. Margaret Bertha also lived in El Reno and was married to Ruben Northcott. Lena Pearl lived in Scranton and was married to Alvin Harwood. Myrtle May was married to Ross O’Smith and lived in Topeka.
Thomas and Margaret are buried in Scranton Cemetery.
Wb17 The Family of Mary Ann Titterington b. 1857
Researcher: Glenn

Glenn is descended from Mary Ann Titterington, daughter of Richard Titterington b. 1809. He is also descended from Mary Ann Titterington, daughter of William Burrows Titterington. She married John Haslem and two of their children married Titteringtons. Maria Haslem married her cousin Robert Titterington and Nathaniel Haslem married his cousin, Mary Ann Titterington. Mary Ann and Robert T (siblings) were children of Richard T and Mary Walsh.
Glenn also said that his grandmother told him that his family were descended from the Wolfendons – this family name features in Linda and Anne’s tree Wa7(i).

Surnames that appear include Walsh, Haslem, and Haddock.
