DIANNE
Dianne was inspired to do a little research into her family tree on discovering how much information was readily available on the internet after helping her daughter with a school history project. She started with her great grandmother whose maiden name was Sarah Titterington as Dianne remembered her fondly and had been intrigued about her story as an orphan. It became her mission to find out more about the family story of Sarah’s father. He reputedy, deserted the family for a better life in the USA leaving Sarah’s mother to die of a broken heart. In reality, this story was not accurate but the children were left orphaned, nonetheless!
Through her research, Dianne managed to connect with Sarah’s sister’s family (all now in Glasgow), and discovered more about the life and death of Sarah’s brother Robert in WW1. She also connected with Trayce, in USA, a descendent of another ancestor in the same Titterington tree. Her tree has been developed substantially with the help of other researchers however gaps and questions still remain!
